NOTICE OF SCHOOL TRUSTEE ELECTION
Shoshone Joint School District No. 312
Lincoln and Jerome Counties, Idaho
Public Notice is hereby given according to law, and the requisite action of the Board of Trustees
of Shoshone Joint School District No. 312, Lincoln and Jerome Counties, Idaho, that the school
trustee election will be held on the 4th day of November 2025 (Tuesday following the first
Monday in November).
Only those qualified electors residing in Trustee Zone No. 1 may vote for a Zone No. 1
candidate. Only those qualified electors residing in Trustee Zone No. 5 may vote for a Zone No.
5 candidate. The purpose of said election shall be to elect one trustee to serve a period of four (4)
years from the date of the election one (1) trustee who resides within Trustee Zone No. 1 and one
(1) trustee who resides within Trustee Zone No. 5.

DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY

Public Notice is hereby given according to law, and the requisite action of the Board of Trustees
of Shoshone Joint School District No. 312, Lincoln and Jerome Counties, Idaho, that the School
Trustee Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the Tuesday following the first
Monday in November.
Notice is also provided that:
Candidates interested in filing a Declaration of Candidacy must file not later than 5:00 p.m. on
August 29, 2025 (the ninth Friday preceding the election for which the nomination is made).
Each Declaration must bear the name of the candidate, state the term for which declaration of
candidacy is made, and bear the signature of not less than five qualified School District electors
of the Trustee Zones of which the candidate is resident.
Only those qualified electors residing in Trustee Zone No. 1 may declare candidacy for Zone No.
1 trustee position. Only those qualified electors residing in Trustee Zone No. 5 may declare
candidacy for Zone No. 5 trustee position. The purpose of said election shall be to elect trustees
to serve for a period of four (4) years, specifically, one trustee who resides within Trustee Zone
No. 1 and one trustee who resides within Trustee Zone No. 5.
A Declaration of Candidacy must be filed with the Clerk of the Shoshone Joint School District
No. 312 who will then file it with the Lincoln County Clerk’s office between the dates set forth
above. Each Declaration of Candidacy must bear the name of the candidate, state the term for
which Declaration of Candidacy is made, and bear the signature of not less than five (5) qualified
school district electors of the trustee zone of which the candidate is resident.
